Is there downtime?
Usually very little. Mild temporary redness or sensitivity can occur, but most people return to normal daily activities immediately.
How often can I dermaplane?

Can I wear makeup afterward?
We generally prefer giving freshly exfoliated skin a little time before layering on heavy products when possible. We will give you simple post-treatment instructions based on what was done during your visit.
Can I combine dermaplaning with a facial?
Yes. Dermaplaning can work very well as an add-on to selected facial treatments when appropriate.
Can dermaplaning help acne scars?
Dermaplaning is a superficial resurfacing treatment, so it may improve overall surface smoothness but it is not our first choice for deeper acne scarring. Treatments such as microneedling may be more appropriate depending on the type of scar.
Is dermaplaning the same as shaving my face at home?
Both remove hair at the surface, but professional dermaplaning is performed as a controlled exfoliation treatment using professional technique and a sterile blade. It is intended to remove superficial dead skin cells along with vellus hair rather than simply performing a routine shave.
