Softer lines.
Still your expression.
Botox and other neurotoxin treatments soften the muscle activity responsible for many expression lines—helping the face look smoother, more rested, and refreshed without changing what makes you look like you.
It changes muscle activity—not your face.
Many facial lines develop because the same muscles contract thousands of times over the years when you smile, squint, frown, concentrate, or raise your eyebrows.
Neurotoxins temporarily reduce signaling to selected muscles. When those muscles contract less strongly, the overlying skin is no longer folding as aggressively in the same place over and over again.
The result can be smoother expression lines, a more rested appearance, and less repetitive movement contributing to deeper lines over time.
The goal is better control of the movement creating the lines.
Small treatment. Big difference in how rested you look.
Neurotoxin is one of the most versatile aesthetic treatments because subtle changes in muscle activity can noticeably change how the face reads.
Soften Existing Lines
Reduce the appearance of lines created by repeated movement, especially when those lines are most noticeable during expression.
Slow Deeper Etching
Reducing repetitive folding may help slow the progression of expression lines becoming more deeply etched into the skin.
Look More Rested
Strategic treatment can soften a tense, tired, or stern appearance while preserving the personality and movement of the face.
More than forehead lines.
Neurotoxin can be used in different areas depending on your anatomy, muscle strength, facial movement, and goals.
You don't have to wait until a line is deep to treat it.
Expression lines often begin as lines you only see while moving. Over time, repeated folding can make some of those lines visible even when the face is at rest.
For some patients, treating strong repetitive movement earlier can help reduce how aggressively those areas crease over time.
Preventive treatment does not mean everyone needs tox at a certain age. It simply means age alone is not what determines whether treatment makes sense. Your movement patterns matter too.
Movement is not the enemy.
You are supposed to smile. You are supposed to raise your eyebrows. You are supposed to look like a person.
Neurotoxin treatment is about deciding which movements are contributing to lines you do not like and how much those movements should be softened.
Quick appointment. Gradual result.
Assess
We evaluate your face at rest and during expression so treatment reflects how your muscles actually move.
Treat
Small amounts of neurotoxin are placed strategically in selected muscles based on your treatment plan.
Develop
The effect develops gradually rather than instantly as the treated muscle activity begins to decrease.
Maintain
Results are temporary, so treatment can be repeated over time based on how your movement returns and how you prefer to maintain it.
The questions everyone asks.
Is Botox the same thing as tox?
Botox is one brand of botulinum toxin used for cosmetic treatment. “Tox” or “neurotoxin” is often used as a broader term for treatments in this category. Different products may have different formulations, dosing characteristics, and clinical considerations.
Will I look frozen?
Not necessarily. The amount of movement remaining after treatment is influenced by the areas treated, dose, muscle strength, anatomy, and your desired result. Some patients prefer very soft movement while others prefer a smoother, more restricted result.
How long does tox last?
Duration varies from patient to patient and can differ by treatment area, product, dose, metabolism, muscle strength, and other individual factors. Results gradually wear off as muscle activity returns.
How quickly will I see results?
Neurotoxin does not work immediately. Effects begin developing over the days following treatment and continue to evolve before reaching the full result.
Does tox get rid of every wrinkle?
No. Neurotoxin works best on lines caused or worsened by muscle movement. Lines that are deeply present at rest may improve as muscle activity is reduced but can also involve skin quality, collagen loss, volume changes, or sun damage that may require additional treatments.
What is preventive Botox?
Preventive treatment refers to reducing strong repetitive muscle movement before expression lines become deeply established at rest. It is not based on reaching a particular age. Whether it makes sense depends on your individual movement patterns and goals.
What is a lip flip?
A lip flip uses a small amount of neurotoxin to relax selected muscle activity around the upper lip, allowing a little more of the pink lip to show. It does not add volume the way dermal filler does.
Can tox lift my brows?
In selected patients, carefully balancing the muscles that raise and lower the brow can create a subtle change in brow position or make the eye area appear more open. The degree of change is limited by anatomy and should not be confused with a surgical brow lift.
Is there downtime?
Most patients return to their normal day quickly after treatment. Temporary redness, tenderness, small bumps at injection sites, or bruising can occur. Your provider will review specific aftercare instructions with you.
How do I know how many units I need?
Unit needs are individualized. Muscle strength, treatment area, anatomy, desired degree of movement, prior treatment response, and the specific neurotoxin used all affect dosing. Your provider will recommend a plan after assessing your facial movement.
Less tired.
Less tense.
Still completely you.
Whether you want to soften existing lines, reduce strong movement, or simply look a little more refreshed, we can build a tox plan around the way your face actually moves.
