Calling, texting, and emailing are convenient ways to reach us for general questions. They are not always the best place to send sensitive medical information.
If your message includes personal health information, detailed medical history, results, photographs, medication concerns, or something you would prefer not floating around an ordinary inbox or text thread, use your secure patient portal whenever possible.
Private information. We mean private information.
Standard email and SMS may not provide the same level of privacy as secure patient messaging. Using the appropriate patient portal helps protect sensitive health information and gives the clinical team a better place to review and respond to medical communication.
