Meet The Team | Lush Health Grand Rapids Good care takes a damn good team. Lush Health is built by clinicians, patient advocates, organizers, problem-solvers, calm-under-pressure people, and a few personalities that make the workday considerably more entertaining. Different roles. Different strengths. One shared expectation: take excellent care of the person in front of us. Meet The Team Our Approach → The People Behind Lush Clinical expertise with actual personalities. Credentials matter here. Experience matters. Clinical judgment matters. But so does whether you feel comfortable asking the question you almost talked yourself out of asking. We want a team that knows their craft, knows when to ask for another opinion, knows how to make patients feel welcome, and knows that healthcare does not suddenly become less professional just because somebody laughed during the appointment. Very qualified. Refreshingly human. The Lush Team The people you’ll actually meet. Some will greet you. Some will treat you. Some will keep the entire building moving while making it look suspiciously easy. Patient Engagement Specialist Yazmin Officially, Yazmin is our Patient Engagement Specialist. Unofficially, she runs the place. She keeps patients connected, schedules moving, partnerships growing, details handled, and approximately fourteen things from catching fire before anyone else even realizes there was a flame. If you call, text, walk through the front door, or need help figuring out where you belong at Lush, there is a very good chance Yazmin is involved. Knows what is happening before the rest of us do. Expert Nurse Injector Rachel Rachel brings clinical experience, an eye for proportion, and the kind of restraint that keeps aesthetic medicine looking like aesthetic medicine instead of a bad decision on the internet. She is especially skilled in injectable treatments and takes the time to understand what a patient actually wants before deciding how—or whether—to treat it. She is also very funny, which has proven exceptionally useful when someone is nervous about a needle. Expert injector. Part-time comedian. Full-time good judgment. Nurse Practitioner Hannah Hannah is the definition of versatile. Medical care, wellness, aesthetics, patient education, clinical problem-solving—if there is something happening at Lush, Hannah can probably step into it without missing much of a beat. She brings the broad clinical thinking we love because patients rarely arrive with concerns that fit neatly into one little box. Nurse practitioner. Jack of all trades. Collector of useful skills. Nurse Practitioner Nicole Nicole combines clinical expertise with a steady hand and an appreciation for treatments that make people feel more confident without looking overdone. She works across medical and aesthetic care and has quickly earned another important title around here: Freeze Queen. If the goal involves calming down an overachieving forehead, Nicole understands the assignment. Nurse practitioner. Freeze Queen. Defender of the smooth forehead. Nurse Practitioner Vanessa Vanessa brings strong clinical instincts, practical thinking, and the ability to explain medical information without making it sound like it was copied directly out of a textbook. She believes patients deserve straightforward answers, thoughtful care, and a provider who can meet them where they are. She also happens to possess an advanced working vocabulary of words not traditionally included in nursing school curriculum. Expert clinician. Straight shooter. Elite-level cusser. No Confirmed Photograph Exists The Office Manager The Office Manager He prefers to lead from behind the curtain. Most patients have never met him. Some members of the team aren’t entirely convinced they have either. Somewhere behind the scenes, however, The Office Manager is allegedly reviewing decisions, granting permission, questioning expenses, and maintaining the mysterious authority required to say, “Did you ask me first?” Think Wizard of Oz—but with less emerald, more spreadsheets, and a concerning amount of smoke and mirrors. Rarely seen. Frequently referenced. Apparently the one we need permission from. Team Growing A few chairs are still waiting for the right people. We are intentionally building the team around skill, personality, patient experience, and whether someone actually fits how Lush works. To Be Announced Esthetician Facials, skincare, skin treatments, product knowledge, and the kind of hands that convince you booking an hour for yourself was an excellent decision. Our next esthetician will be introduced here once the right person joins the Lush team. To Be Announced Medical Assistant Vitals, rooming, clinical support, patient flow, approximately a thousand tiny details—and the person quietly keeping the medical side of the day moving. We’ll make the introduction once our next medical assistant is officially part of the team. And The People You May Never See It takes more people than the ones standing in the treatment room. The faces patients see are only part of what keeps Lush running. Behind every appointment is another layer of people helping with clinical oversight, systems, billing, credentialing, marketing, operations, technology, compliance, scheduling, and approximately seventeen other things nobody notices until one of them stops working. Medical Director Provides physician oversight and clinical support as part of the broader medical structure behind Lush Health. Administrative + Operations Support The systems, processes, scheduling, paperwork, supplies, and logistical machinery required to turn good intentions into an actual functioning clinic. Billing + Credentialing A whole world occurring behind the scenes so our medical services, insurance-based care, and provider credentials keep moving the way they are supposed to. Marketing + Community Helping people discover Lush, understand what we do, connect with our community, and occasionally convince us that yes, we really do need to make another piece of content. Technology + Systems Websites, scheduling, patient portals, analytics, EHR systems, automations, and all the invisible infrastructure everyone assumes simply works by magic. Heather — Keeper of the Good Food Heather is one of those very special people who somehow always shows up with exactly what we need—and usually something far more fabulous than we ever would have thought to ask for. She caters our events, keeps the Lush team exceptionally well fed, and has mastered the art of making every spread feel a little more beautiful, a little more elevated, and a lot more delicious. She never disappoints. More importantly, Heather is quite literally one of Lush Health’s biggest supporters. She cheers us on, shows up for us, feeds us, and loves this place right along with us. We love Heather. ♥ The Entire Behind-The-Scenes Crew The people helping put this together, keep it compliant, keep it organized, and—perhaps most importantly—keep the whole damn thing from falling apart. Our Culture Professional does not have to mean painfully serious. We take patient safety, clinical standards, privacy, and good medicine very seriously. Ourselves? Slightly less so. We want Lush to be a place where patients feel comfortable and where good clinicians can be good clinicians without pretending they stopped having personalities when they received their credentials.
